"A FEW OF MY FAVE THINGS"

These are a few things that make me smile and settle my soul. I feel calm in the presence of a soulful cow. I feel my creator in the Colorado mountains and wildflowers, especially when graced with bees and butterflies. My yard is filled with birds, birds, birds, who sing passionately to me. I work my garden with a meditative spirit; this is my first try at growing eggplants-this poor fella probably won't mature before the cold sets in. I am gratefully blessed with Yorkies!, big and small ones. Something magical happens when a dragonfly stops by and sits on my shrub, he, by the way, was quite the camera show dog! Who doesn't love sunflowers?
I hope you find a moment of peace, laughter, and joy here. Welcome to my heart.

  1. Great pictures, Victoria! I also love the mountains, equally the oceans. Both are magnificent. New Year's Day ‘07 I was walking alone down a beach on Okaloosa Island when walking toward me was another woman alone. We met, hugged and talked about how we each felt, standing there in the presence of Nature's most powerful force. She was burdened with some family problem and I, with some personal dilemma. We shared our stories, cried together, and hugged again. Wishing good things for each other we parted, going our own way without exchanging names, phone numbers or addresses. There was nothing else, just two spirits pondering our directions. It was a wonderful encounter. That's how I feel when I read your writing, a recharge of the human spirit. Can’t think of a better source of power to recharge from. Love and blessings on you and yours, Connie

  2. My favorite memories are those that involve the coming together of complete strangers as loving spirits to another's call; then I don't see people, their biases or differences, and neither do they; but rather see angels on earth inhabiting a human form.
I'm glad you like the photos Connie. Thanks for gracing me with your visit!

  8. Victoria-I experience the same peaceful feeling in nature. I've literally learned more about life from ducks and squirrels than from any book or human being. Wonderful pictures, too! The Yorkie on the tiger is priceless.

  9. Nature practices the KISS (keep it simple stupid), whereas we have analyze, catagorize, and generalize...and then wonder why we are so confused.
My Yorkies are the best teachers of compassion.
    Thanks for sharing.
